The outcome

The final outcome is close to what I expect. It has a messy, irregular and muti-layer outlook, which brings out a natural feeling. Also, the quality of the beams looks concrete and strong. Although I could not manage to get the beams connect head to head which might make it look more like a maze, together the final outcome is still quite matching my initial concept.

Inspirations

I get inspiration mainly from the construction of the Bird Nest Stadium in Beijing. It has a "random looking additional steel" outlook. It is a typical example of bringing the natural form into design. Also, the crossing lines remind me the irregular maze pattern. Just simply putting straight pipes in different angles into layers should be really interesting.
